Rev'd Eileen Harrop and Father Grieves lead the Good Friday Service for Churches Together in Gainford in St Mary's Church, Gainford. 

The congregation of more than 40 socially distanced comprised members from the Roman Catholic, Methodist, and Church of England communities in the parish. 

3 hymns were sung (with restricted voices):

O my saviour lifted; When I survey the wondrous cross; and There is a Green Hill faraway. 

The congregation said together Psalm 22. 

The passion narrative from the Gospel according to Mark were read by Josephine Carroll and Geoff Taylor, and the Intercessions led by Christine Graham.
