Welcome to St Mary's Barnard Castle with Whorlton.  Whatever your reason for visiting we are pleased to see you! The church in Newgate, Barnard Castle is open during daylight hours every day and visitors are welcome.  We have a small car park adjacent to the Church and Parish Hall but there is a Pay-and Display long stay car park just over the road if you plan to stay longer and visit our lovely town, Castle and the world-famous Bowes Museum at the other end of Newgate. Check out our service times, walk our indoor Labyrinth, light a candle or just sit a while. The Revd Canon Alec Harding welcomes enquiries about weddings, baptisms and funerals.
