Following the service in Durham Cathedral, we'll be welcoming Lee to the parish with a joint service of Holy Communion at St Paul's Church at 4pm. Refreshments will available after the service.

Welcome to the parish church of Whitworth, located next to the grounds of the Whitworth Park Estate on the outskirts of Spennymoor.

Steeped in history, Whitworth Church includes a crypt beneath the floor where members of the local Shafto family were were laid to rest.

We follow the House of Bishops' safeguarding guidance and policies - this includes having our own Parish Safeguarding Officer. For more information, please see the Safeguarding tab on this website.
