Mark's Gospel for Everyone

Occurring
for 2 hours
Venue
St. Anne's Church, Bishop Auckland
Address
Market Place Bishop Auckland, DL14 7NU, United Kingdom

On Wednesday in Holy Week we have the opportunity to listen to the whole of Mark's gospel together. People of any age can come along (under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult).
We will do two identical sessions. Some details:
 Mark's gospel from beginning to end is about an hour and a half long, but you can come and go as you like
 Art and craft materials for people to just enjoy and to respond to the hearing the Bible stories
 Some toys and games (including for toddlers) will also be out for people who (like me) need something in their hands while they listen
 There will be a wide selection of art also on display for people who would like an "art gallery" to enjoy while they listen
 We will be using a really great audio version of the gospel
 Refreshments will be available during the session. Donations are always welcome.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Bishop Auckland is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Durham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (details via the button below). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
