Church Graveyard

Some if the grave stones are Listed by listed by Heritage England -see here: The List Search Results for medomsley | Historic England The churchyard is 'closed' and maintained by Durham County Council. Parish records are sent to Durham County Council archivist periodically, so you can search funeral, wedding, baptism records through their website. In September 2024 the Council carried out a grave stone survey and a few of the unstable grave stones have been cordoned off for safety reasons.
