About Us

St James Church is in Burnopfield, County Durham and the parish covers both this village and nearby Dipton. 

We offer a warm, prayerful welcome, and aim to provide a range of regular services suitable for people of all ages. 

These services are currently suspended due to the Covid-19 restrictions and we are now limited to one service a week, a spoken Eucharist at 11am each Sunday.

Face masks must be worn on entering and leaving church, and we have social distancing and sanitising measures in place.

The church is on Syke Bank, Burnopfield, on the main road through the village.
