Holy Trinity Church South Hetton

Welcome to Holy Trinity Church South Hetton, we are a happy, welcoming church whose aim is to share the love and good news of Jesus throughout South Hetton and beyond. We hope to see you soon.....all are welcome.

Our Church was built in 1838, 7 years after the first shaft was sunk by the South Hetton Coal Company.

Today we hold our Eucharistic Service every Sunday morning at 10.00am, with the provision of music alternating between traditional and modern worship music provided by backing accompaniment or from our live music group.

The parish of South Hetton is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Durham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) Beth Miller, who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services, or ring 999.
