The Vicar and PCC would like to thank everyone for the great effort put into funding the re-roof of the Chancel. Wilson's Roofing of Hartlepool carried out the work in March and as we all can see the roof and guttering work looks splendid. 

As a Parish we have much to thank God for all of which inspires is to do those things that are essential for the upkeep of our historic church building. Warden Alan Beck was one person who championed our fund raising from 2017. Pre-Covid, we sponsored him to parachute out from an aeroplane, then he went on sponsored walks and put on music concerts in our church. We also received private donations from parishioners and then by last Christmas we had in hand all the money needed to award the roofing contract to Wilson's. 

Thank you people of South Hetton, for the many ways you supported us in this work. In the next weeks we will be moving into the next phase of renewing the Chancel space, we will be looking to raise funds for a new project that we hope to have completed by 2024.
