About Us

We are an Anglican Christian community in Shincliffe village, near the beautiful University and Cathedral city of Durham.  Our congregation is made up from people of all ages who share a love of Christ and the desire to grow in faith as a reflecting and active Christian community.  As the parish church for Shincliffe we have strong links with our community especially through our church school. 

Whether you’ve never been to church before, just interested in some fresh exploration, or you’ve been a Christian for years, you are very welcome at St Mary’s. Come and join us at a church service or at one of our many social events and activities throughout the year
