About Us
Although the original Kimblesworth church fell into ruin in the medieval times of the 1600's, new places of worship sprang up in the mining village during the Victorian era.
Our present day parish church is dedicated to St Philip and St James and dates from 1893 when it started life as a mission church superseding an earlier mission house in Plawsworth's Mill Lane and incorporates a font rescued from the medieval church at Kimblesworth Grange.
We welcome people of all ages to any of our regular weekly communion services.
At the moment, due to pandemic restrictions, we have very limited activities. Services are once a week at 10.45am on a Sunday and we limit the amount of people allowed in church to meet social distancing requirements. You are however also invited to join our on-line "Team At Ten" service which goes out at 10am every Sunday. Please go to the Service and Events tab for more information
