About Us

St John's is a lively church on the western outskirts of Durham. We were founded as a mission church in the late 19th century and are seeking to work that calling out in the society of the early 21st century.

St. John's is a church with a rich variety of people of all ages, with many personal qualities and talents. We recognise the variety of gifts that people bring, and are seeking how best to support and nurture people so that their gifts can be used in the development of the mission of the Church.
