A Holy Communion service will be held in St. Peter's Church, Littleover.

Communion is served in two ways - you can share the common cup or receive an inticted piece of bread, or receive in one kind only (bread). Children are offered some cut grapes and prayer.

A short carol service offering space for worship, singing and prayers for those living with memory loss and those who care for them. Confusion can be very isolating as behaviour changes and once familiar activities become overwhelming.
We aim to offer a more gentle service by keeping the service short – about 20 minutes – including familiar carols and prayers in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. For some people with memory loss, their muscle memory for singing can be good (they remember words and tunes more easily) and so we hope these services can bring comfort and encouragement for them and for those who support them.

A great way to enter the true story of Christmas, using all of our five senses. Make your way around the displays and Christmas trees, picking up items as you go, to make your own Christmas bauble. Get your phone out for the QR codes and experience the Nativity in a new way.

Children’s Nativity.
A great chance for us all to join in the nativity together. It’s your chance to be Mary, an angel, even the donkey or a wise man in this version that involves the whole congregation. Many of our children dress up to join in – you’re welcome to dress up too. So dust off the angel wings, or a put a tea towel on your head and join in the fun. The service will also be available via Zoom, but not via Livestream on Twitch.

Hear the familiar story and join in the well loved carols to draw you closer to the story that changed the world, and continues to impact lives across the world today.
Our retiring collection from this service will go to the work of Christmas Lunch on Jesus who provide Christmas lunches for struggling families across the city. You can give using Cash or Card.

This is usually the busiest service of the year - so we we will hold the same service at 3pm and 5pm.
Once again you will make your own Christingle in the pew and join with other families in the countdown to Christmas Day. If you need gelatine free sweets, please let us know as we will have a limited number available. We will have a Christingle recycling box where you can leave your orange to be made into marmalade (or you can take a bag yourself to make your own at home).

A spoken service with a few simple carols. It’s timed so that we celebrate and receive Holy Communion as the clock slips over into Christmas Day. Always a special service, you are very welcome to join us.

A simple spoken service for those who have family commitments later in the day but still need to come to worship and to participate in Holy Communion on this special day. If you are visiting the area, you are especially welcome.

Bring along your favourite present to show off and share with the congregation – all ages are very welcome as we celebrate the birth of Jesus together. It is our custom that those who are not yet confirmed receive prayers at the rail, and a small bag of cut grapes. We acknowledge that Christmas is also difficult for those who are grieving, if you are in need of prayer, please do let us know and it will be a privilege to share with you.

A great way for us all to worship together - we endeavour to include a traditional hymn as well as liturgy and songs that are more accessible for our children. There's usually an activity to join in with too, so we can learn more about God together.
This is also usually the service where we welcome candidates for baptism along with their friends and families.
