Everyone is welcome to a service where Holy Communion is shared, hymns, Bible readings, prayers and a sermon also form part of the service. We are an inclusive, family friendly, church where people of all backgrounds receive a really warm welcome. We are fairly traditional with a robed choir and modern catholic style worship. We have a children's corner with adult supervision - or most Sunday's we have a Children's Church with the children joining us for communion. The children are encouraged to serve and read wherever appropriate particularly when we have our all age service on the second Sunday of each month.

As we enter the time of Advent please join us for our Advent Sunday Carol Service

Our annual Christmas Tree Festival - come and see our many trees to start your Chrismas season, tree decorated by members of the congregation, local youth groups and charities. Refreshments will be served. Santa will visit on Saturday afternoon, there are children's competitions and we are asking you this year to choose your favourite tree and the winner will get a prize.
Church will be open on saturday 07.12.24 10am-4pm

Monday 09.12.24 we will be open 10am - 1pm
This year our chosen charity to receive 50% of the money raised, sharing with the church building fund, will be 'Bridge the Gap' - a charity centred around child mental health, supporting youngsters struggling with worry, anxiety and self-esteem

Enjoy tea, cake and a chat and there's always something extra eg quiz, bingo, beetle drive or a speaker.

Join us and the students from Broomfield college who run the Welcome cafe from St Johns each Friday for carols around the tree...followed by refreshments

Here the Story, Build the story, Share the story...family event with a bible base - building with bricks and discussion and fun

We will start at St John's Church at 2.30pm and will travel to St Alkmund's along the way hearing the Christmas Story....dressing the part is encouraged -be a shepherd, an angel....adults and children alike
