Communion service with liturgy for Candlemas, the traditional name for the Feast of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple.

When Jesus is brought by his parents to the Temple to be presented according to the Law of Israel, his significance is recognized by Simeon and Anna. He is both ‘a light to lighten the Gentiles’ and ‘the glory of God’s people Israel’.

Welcome to our  Grade 1 listed church which has been a place of worship and prayer since before Norman times.  It is open for private prayer all day, every day, unless there is a funeral or wedding. All are welcome to this ancient space where people have prayed for centuries, take a slow walk round the church or simply sit for a while.

The Churches of Peak Five welcome all to worship, irrespective of age or faith commitments. There are normally at least two services every Sunday somewhere within our benefice including a communion service at 11:15.
