Following the second round of advertising in the Church Times and elsewhere the recruitment sub committee met with (then) Archdeacon Carol Coslett to review the applications and invited the Reverend Neil Griffiths to interview.

Neil visited all the churches in our team and met some of the staff, volunteers and parishioners. He also led an interactive School Assembly in Kirk Ireton.

The interview panel were very pleased to recommend to Bishop Libby that Neil be appointed Team Rector and Bishop Libby has agreed.

So: The Rev Neil Griffiths, Rector of Colsterworth Group of Churches, Diocese of Lincoln has been appointed Rector of the Wirksworth Team Ministry, Diocese of Derby.

We are still working on a date for Neil’s licensing and this will depend on availability of the bishops and others.

Please pray for Neil and his wife, Lesley, and all the people of Colsterworth and our team in this time of change.
