for 15 mins
St James' Church, Glossop
St James' Church Hollin Cross Lane Glossop, SK13 8JQ, United Kingdom

Our Crib service is aimed at the younger ones and their families. It will be a short service to simply tell the Christmas story. We'd love you to join us as we get ready for the celebrations of Christmas day. So, come along dressed as your favourite nativity character - a shepherd, a king, an angel - Mary, Joseph or one of the animals in the stall!

Safeguarding

Our Parish of Whitfield (St James' Church and St Luke's Church) is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). (The position is presently vacant). Our Diocese of Derby’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO. The position is presently vacant, however, should you have a safeguarding concern, please refer this to either the vicar, [Rev Chris Neilson, E-mail: [email protected]] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [Lisa Marriot (Head of Safeguarding and Diocesan Safeguarding Officer, E-mail: [email protected], Tel. No: 01332 388653, website: See Read More) ]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
