Phase 1 to create a meeting place for the local community at Dinting Church and offer much needed facilities has now begun. Mike and his team at Restoration Projects Ltd based in Hadfield have now got underway with an estimated completion date of 12th April. Our Vicar, the Rev'd Nick Gurney has said that, "As we all begin to emerge out of lockdown I’m so looking forward to all that this might bring. Not only in being able to enhance the existing services and restarting of popular local events such as ‘Scones of Praise’ and the ‘Soup Service’ and also our ongoing collaboration with Dinting School next door, but the new opportunities it could bring to the community as a meeting place for clubs, groups, and people in a variety of ways. And to have had the local interest from the beginning starting with MRA Architects to Cllr Jean Wharmby and now having Restoration Projects commencing the works is really exciting and gives me hope that this will become a place where community can flourish”.Do get in touch to be involved, know more, or be an advocate in our community for this.
