After almost five wonderful years with us at Dinting, and helping across Glossopdale, our Vicar the Rev'd Nick Gurney and family will be leaving end of September as they move to Herefordshire. You can view the announcement (by clicking the download link button) which was made at the beginning of July. We know many will miss them and so you are invited, an open invitation, to come along to their final Service with Rev'd Nick offering Communion and Preaching on Sunday 1st September at 9.30am. Doors open from 9am and the service will finish with plenty of tea & cake to say goodbye.Please do come along as we celebrate together.
Yes, this year's summer sermon series is 'Favourite Bible Verses'. Over the four Sunday's in August at our Sunday Service, 9.30am, hear what Bible verses have encouraged, inspired, comforted and helped us in life and understanding of God and our relationship with Christ. Whether you are a church regular, occasional visitor or haven't been before you are welcome this summer. Service starts 9.30am with refreshments and time to chat & mingle if you wish afterwards.
The popular secondary school after school drop on Friday's during term time will be having a special end of term drop-in with plenty of party snacks & refreshments, games and activities.Don't miss out, drop in if you can can for as little or as long as you can - you'll probably want to stay till 4.30pm as usual!!! Usual Tea N Toast and hot chocolate with added party food and milkshakes this time. All Year 6's are invited to come along and give it a try ready for September.We look forward to seeing you - please ensure your parent/carer knows if you plan to attend.
Congratulations to a super pupil at our brilliant school who was presented with a Bishop's Badge for school children. The presentation took place at Derby Cathedral by the Bishop with family in attendance along with Mrs Elliot the school head, Mr Wilson, and also our Vicar Rev'd Nick all present.Well done Izzy!!
