About Us

The Church of St James the Apostle is a Church of England Parish Church in The Diocese of Derby and under the Sacramental and Pastoral care of the Bishop of Oswestry.

It is situated in the village of Temple Normanton and is The Parish Church for Temple Normanton.  It is closely associated with the neighbouring parish of St Paul's Hasland.

Our worshiping tradition is anglo catholic and we are a Forward in Faith parish and affiliated to The Society of St Wildrid and St Hilda.
