On the second Saturday of the month, 10am-12pm, we invite church and community to join in with some gardening jobs, to maintain our churchyard. We have one of the largest churchyards in the county of Derbyshire! We are very grateful for the work of the community pay back team who are in weekly, and do an amazing job. The council, who have overall responsibility for the maintenance of the churchyard now, regularly cut the grass and monitor and manage the many trees on the site, but it is a huge job maintaining this amount of land and every bit of help is valuable. Please bring your own tools if you want to join in. Refreshments are served.
We are very grateful to members of the community, who's fundraising initiatives have bought us new benches in the past, and in 2024, extensive work was carried out to improve the memorial garden area.
