The Summer Fete was held in the grounds of The Eagle Club this year, on 6th July and enjoyed by stall holders and customers alike. It was organised by Julie and in the morning many volunteers helped to carry tables, boxes of goods and produce and the complicated job of setting up the gazebos on a windy day.
By 2pm, we had a variety of stalls selling handbags, books, bric-a-brac, craft items, cakes and jams. There were games for the children and the always popular Tombola stall.
The tantalizing smell of sausages wafting around which brought customers with rumbling stomachs to the grill.
Tea and cakes were served inside……..
…..accompanied by the music of the Dronfield Baptist Church Ukulele Band.
The weather was sunny and warm in the morning, but a short spell of rain in the afternoon didn’t deter the local community from spending their money and enjoying themselves.
