A short service especially for children and suitable for all ages. The nativity figures will be welcomed back into church having travelled around the village to different homes during Advent. As the story of the first Christmas unfolds with short readings and carols, the stable will be filled with those figures who were there at Jesus birth. Our service will be followed by refreshments and we hope that villagers and visitors will join us to celebrate this special time.

St Martins

St Martins is situated in The Nook in the centre of the village of Stoney Middleton. It has an unusual octagonal-shaped nave built in 1759 onto the original 15th century tower and is open for visitors everyday. We are a small friendly congregation that meets at 9am on Sunday mornings for communion and would love to welcome you to join us and stay for coffee. We have close links with the village.

To enquire about Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals or use of the building, please contact our Church Warden Michael Wright on 07752 155308

Safeguarding

St Martin's is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Derby’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [Adam Innes on 07786 515557] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [01332 388678]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
