Lent course

Every Monday at for 1 hour
Venue
Hathersage Methodist Chapel
Address
Hathersage Methodist Chapel

This Lent we are all invited to explore how we can live well with the mess of everyday life.
The booklet ‘Dust and Glory’, written by Bishop Emma Ineson, encourages us to take a fresh look at the frustrations and failings that every day brings and, rather than pretending we can always avoid them, seek to learn from them and grow closer to God through them.
This year’s Lent Group for fellowship, discussion and prayer will meet on the following Mondays from 7 pm to 8.30 pm at the Bell Room at St Michael and all Angels Church.
27 February and March 6, 13 20, 27
All welcome. Come to as many sessions as you like.
Copies of the ‘Dust and Glory’ booklet, which has 40 reflections for Lent, will be available for a small donation before Lent begins.
There will also be a booklet for families and children.
To reserve a booklet, or for further information, contact the Revd Paul Moore on 01433 410036 or mail [email protected]

Safeguarding

A safe Church for all

Our parish of Hathersage: St Michael & All Angels is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO).

Emma Parkinson is the PSO for the three parish churches of Hathersage, Bamford and Grindleford.

Emma can be contacted as follows:
Tel. 07989 41511
Email: [email protected]

The Diocese of Derby’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our PSOs.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
