Church Choir Summer Fair

A great time was had by all at the church choir Summer Fair, held in the Lawrence Hall in the Memorial Hall, Hathersage on Sunday 21st July 2024 from 2pm.  There were lots of delicious cakes and scones to go with the tea and coffee which many people enjoyed.  There were several stalls - books, bric a brac, tombola, cakes and a wonderful raffle with many prizes generously donated by local businesses and others.

Pat Pierce won the "Guess the name of the teddy bear" with her correct guess of Marmalade which was presented by Glen Musgrave - see picture.

From the church choir members, Heather Rodgers counted the money and did the tombola, Angie Ward conducted the raffle, Kay Furness managed the kitchen, Jenni Sugg dished out the cakes, Elisabeth Madden manned the cake stall, Chris Winfield produced the wonderful flower jars for the tables, Sue Wilson provided scones and bric a brac and lots of other people helped as well - thank you to everyone.

Around £600 was raised towards the cost of new choir robes which we hope to have by Christmas.  Many thanks to those who have already donated.
