About Us

St John's is the Anglican parish church in the village of Bamford. It's part of a united benefice with Hathersage (St Michael & All Angels) and Grindleford (St Helen's)

We share worship with Bamford Methodists and have close links with the Roman Catholics

We are a small but lively congregation who enjoy a range of worship styles with some modern Christian hymns/songs

Our church is a collection point for the Food Banks in Buxton and Chesterfield: many Bamford villagers contribute generously to that.
