Our Holy Communion service is a celebration of the Eucharist, an ancient name (from the Greek word for 'thanksgiving') widely used today for the service that is otherwise known as the Holy Communion, the Lord's Supper or Mass. The Eucharist is a service in which Christians follow Jesus' command to his followers, to share bread and wine in remembrance of him. The order of service follows the Book of Common Prayer (BCP).

This service follows the traditional pattern in The Book of Common Prayer and consists of choral music sung by our girls choir, scripture readings, and prayers.
This service is held during school term time only. Please check the Newsletter for details.

Choral Evensong is celebrated from the Book of Common Prayer in the chancel. The service is accompanied by the Gentlemen of the Choir.

Our main Sunday morning service is a celebration of the Eucharist, an ancient name (from the Greek word for 'thanksgiving') widely used today for the service that is otherwise known as the Holy Communion, the Lord's Supper or Mass. The Eucharist is a service in which Christians follow Jesus' command to his followers, to share bread and wine in remembrance of him. The service includes Bible readings, prayer, a sermon, hymns and music sung by our choir with organ accompaniment.
This service is usually live streamed on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Choral Evensong service from the Book of Common Prayer. The service is accompanied by the full robed choir. During school holidays accompaniment is by the St Mary's Scholars Chamber Choir or by a visiting choir. The traditional choral setting (depending upon the season) is Anglican Responses, Canticles and an Anthem as well as congregational hymns. The service is held in the church nave.

You are warmly invited to St Mary's Summer Fayre for an afternoon full of fun and excitement. There will be stalls, live music, games, outstanding raffle prizes and an amazing puppet show.
The running order for the day is tentatively: 2.00pm Grand Opening; 2.30pm Puppet Show; 3.15-4.00pm Live Band; 4.00-4.20pm Egg and Spoon Race; 4.20pm Dunk The Vicar- Not To Be Missed!

Tim Clark, our church historian, will be speaking at a study day at the University of Warwick on Friday 20 September on the subject of 'Self and Identity in English Art, 1350 to 1500'. Tim will consider how images of self evolved over this period, and will argue that the Beauchamp chapel at St Mary's represents the ultimate expression of identity in England in this period.

Tim's talk is the first of four on the day, all based on the theme of propaganda in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. It is a fascinating programme, and further details can be found at https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/arts/ren/outreach/studyday2024/

The Beauchamp chapel at St Mary's, built to house the stunning tomb of Richard Beauchamp, earl of Warwick, is renowned for being one of the finest late-medieval chapels in England, if not Europe. An impressed Tudor visitor thought that Richard was ‘entombed right princely’. But how did this magnificent chapel come about? Who were the people responsible for it, and where did their inspiration come from?

In this talk, the opening event of St Mary's celebration of the 550th anniversary of the consecration of the chapel next year, church historian Tim Clark draws on new research to consider the chapel’s provenance, and the sentiments and ambition behind it.

This event will also see the launch of Tim’s new book, The Beauchamp chapel at St Mary's Warwick, and there will be an opportunity to visit the chapel with Tim after the talk.
