Music and Worship

We have various concerts throughout the year

The organ was presented in 1879 by the Carus-Wilson family. It is a replica of the organ at Ely Cathedral, made to the specification of Dr Chipps who was the organist there, and built by William Hill & Co. In 1993
it was completely rewired, with a free-standing console, by Hill, Norman & Beard (the Hill being the Hill of the original builders). It is considered one of the finest organs in the county. You can hear it at it's best during our mid-week service on Thursday morning at 10.30am.

Members of the congregation form the worship band that plays during our Sunday 10am service.

Throughout all the ministries of St Mark's, we continue to encounter people who have experienced hurt and pain due to their sexuality or gender. We firmly believe that exclusion on the grounds of sexuality or gender clearly goes against who Jesus is and the wider biblical narrative.

We are proud to be an evangelical and inclusive church, and affirm all healthy, life-giving relationships. We will continue to proclaim the liberating gospel of Jesus who came to set people free from fear, shame and oppressive religious teaching. If you would like to take part in prayers love and faith, please contact us; we would be delighted to be part of this special step in your relationship.
