Safeguarding - 3 -Policy Statement on the Recruitment of Ex-Offenders-

At Holy Trinity Church, Long Itchington, we do our utmost to ensure that everyone on our premises is kept safe. All staff and volunteers working with children and vulnerable adults undergo a safer recruitment process and an enhanced DBS disclosure. We expect them to be fully conversant with the safeguarding policy. 

As a church, we have adopted the Church of England’s safeguarding policy on the recruitment of ex-offenders with the following addendum to point 8 on page 2 of the policy: "Any offer of employment must be kept confidential until after the DBS check is undertaken and any discussion on matters revealed on DBS certificate is satisfactory concluded in order to prevent a breach of confidentiality. This document should be given to anyone applying for a post." Adopted by Holy Trinity PCC 28th November 2019 and signed by the PSO and incumbent.
