Out of the darkness comes hope. For some Christmas can be a tough time of year, or perhaps it highlights the difficulties faced in the previous year. Maybe you just want some peace during a busy time or over stimulation. Our Blue Christmas service is a quieter service for those who want an opportunity to mark Christmas in church, but don’t feel full of Christmas excitement and joy. All are welcome to this subdued celebration of Christmas.

Our traditional Carol Service in which we hear the ancient prophecies about the coming of Jesus from the Old Testament and the story of his birth in the Gospels. Between the Lessons the choir sing beautiful Christmas music and lead the singing of the carols. This service will also be live streamed on our YouTube channel and later added to our Facebook page.

Why not get your Christmas off to the perfect start by joining us on Christmas Eve, between 3.15pm & 5:30pm, for our Walkthrough Carol Service? This is an event for young and old, for groups or individuals – everyone is welcome! Travel to Bethlehem through the Nativity story to see the Baby Jesus, as you walk around the decorated and candle-lit church listening to carols. Children (and those young at heart) are welcome to come dressed as their favourite nativity character - and then you can stop and take photos of them amongst the figures in our nativity scenes.
There’s no need to book, just arrive at a time that suits you, but we suggest you allow at least 15 minutes to enjoy the story (last entry at 5.15pm).

Our first Eucharist of Christmas is a wonderful celebration of Holy Communion with plenty of candles! As we enter Christmas Day itself, we rejoice that Jesus Christ is here with us, not just a baby born 2,000 years ago, but present in bread and wine and within each of us. The service will also be live streamed on our YouTube channel and uploaded to our Facebook page afterwards.
