Compline (night prayer)

A short service of evening prayer held in church, often followed by house group meetings.

Coffee Craft and Conversation

Sung Communion

Every First, Second, Third, Fourth Sunday at for 1 hour

At 10am we have our Parish Communion, a sung communion with choir and organ, and heralded to the locality by our ring of six bells. Parts of the communion are sung and there are always hymns, led by choir and organ. The service is followed by tea, coffee and biscuits in the small hall.

Sunday Celebration

Every First, Second, Third, Fourth Sunday at for 1 hour

At 11.45am we have a lively service, ideal for all age groups. It's a more informal service, with a variety of songs and hymns, led by the St Giles’ Worship Band. Usually one service each month will be a simple communion, and the third Sunday may include Baptisms/Christenings. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served, both before and after the service, in church.

Evening Prayer

Every First, Third Sunday at for 1 hour

At 5pm we have a sung Evensong service on the first Sunday and Holy Communion on the third. There are hymns and music led by choir and organ at both services.

Mid-week Communion

Monthly. Every First Wednesday at for 45 mins

10.30am on the first Wednesday of the month we have our mid-week Communion service; worship and fellowship, with tea, coffee and biscuits afterwards.

Bereavement Drop-in

Every First, Third Thursday at for 1 hour, 30 mins

A friendly and relaxed meeting for people coping with bereavement. You'll find tea, cakes, friendship and support - plus quizzes, outings and other activities.

Quiet Communion

At 8am we hold a quiet, spoken Holy Communion Service. There is tea, coffee and biscuits for everyone afterwards in the small hall.

Joint Service of Holy Communion

Monthly. Every Fifth Sunday at for 1 hour

On months when there is a fifth Sunday, we hold just one combined service of Holy Communion at 10.30am. It's relaxed and quite lively often with a combination of both choir/organ and worship band. It's a 60 minute service ideal for all ages and, of course, there are refreshments afterwards.
