Our church at Stoneleigh has an up-to-date Audio Visual system for relaying music, both inside and outside the church, and for projecting pictures and videos as part of our worship pattern. We are looking for people to join this exciting project and to form part of a team to develop the system to it's full potential. Knowledge of IT will be an advantage, although it will be a very much team-building exercise where we learn from one another as we exchange ideas. If you would like more information and feel that you would like to get involved in any way, please speak to Rev. Petrica or to Richard Ashley (07708 097187).
If you have any items which you would like included, please contact Jackie in the office by the previous Wednesday. If you would like your name added to the mailing list to receive your own copy by email each week, please contact Jackie in the office.
We are very pleased to have secured the services of Mr. John Morris F.R.C.O. as our Organist and Director of Music.John, who lives just outside Stratford-on-Avon, is a Graduate of the Royal Schools of Music and an Associate of the Royal College of Music where he studied organ, harmony, piano and harpsichord. He previously held positions in various London churches before moving to the Lake District and has played in venues as diverse as St Paul’s Cathedral and HM Prison, Liverpool (as a guest of the Chaplaincy!). He has played for over three hundred choral services in Carlisle Cathedral including a live BBC1 broadcast on the 50th Anniversary of VJ Day.His appointment with us took effect on February 1st 2021, although he was unable to play until worship was resumed after the Covid lock-down, but his playing is now very much a strong feature of our worship and he has a large following of music lovers who stay to listen to his first class voluntaries at the end of each service. You are warmly invited to join them.
