St. John Baptist, Honiley

Honiley Church (St John Baptist, Honiley) has a special place in the hearts of so many people - as a place they attended services as children, where they go for the annual Carol Service, where they exchanged marriage vows, or where they have said farewell to loved ones, or simply wandered in for a moment of quiet contemplation. It’s also a place where a handful of local parishioners attend regular (three Sundays in the month) services.

Whether it’s the sound of the church bells ringing out in joyful celebration of a wedding, or the traditional morning and evening recitation, or the thought-provoking words of a sermon, or the festive decorations which adorn the windows, or the coloured light flooding in through the beautiful stained-glass windows, or the restorative power of this contemplative space, or the careful tending of family graves, the church means so much in so many ways to so many people in our community and beyond.
