About Us

St Catherine's is an Anglican church drawing its members from a variety of backgrounds and seeking to celebrate faith in Jesus amongst all our generations: from more evangelical stock to those who like a bit of ceremony and ritual in worship. As a parish church we are committed to serving those who live locally as well as those who travel in to church events and and who enjoy participating in our times of worship.

We see Bible teaching and fostering Christian discipleship as key priorities in our life together. The church is busy developing small groups of people who follow through issues of prayer, bible study, pastoral care and social events.

Many of our members work as volunteers in various locations locally. To name just a few: St Ann's Hospice, local charity shops, Cafe Unity on Finney Lane and the Churches Together Youth Initiative working out of its base at Life Church on Outwood Road, Heald Green.
