Norbury Church

Norbury Church (aka St. Thomas, Hazel Grove) is a thriving, inclusive, Modern Anglican Church. We are situated on the A6, next to Torkington Park and our heart is to serve all people in our community. Our mission is to help the people of Hazel Grove and beyond understand, and find, the love of God and to be a place of spiritual learning and listening. Some churches have big bands, others have big stages - at Norbury we have a big heart to offer a big welcome. So whether you are coming to our Welcome Cafe or one of our Toddler groups. Whether you are looking for a wedding, a baptism, or a funeral, we want you to feel welcomed and loved.

As with a lot of churches, our life centers around our acts of worship which happen mainly on a Sunday, but we also have other groups and activities all of which you can find out about on our website norburychurch.com

Safeguarding

Our parish of Norbury: St Thomas is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Chester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Nicholas Bennett (Warden) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Sean Augustin. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
