About Us
Our Church
St Mark's is a mission church, built originally as a wooden structure in 1884, and rebuilt in 1890 following a fire, as a corrugated iron building.
The church building was stone clad in 1975 but the hall remains a corrugated iron structure.
St Mark's was originally part of the parish of Wybunbury but became part of the enlarged parish of Weston in 1974.
Every Sunday our main service takes place at 10:00am. Generally the first Sunday of the month is our Family Service, whilst the second, fourth and fifth are services of Holy Communion. The third Sunday is a Morning Praise service held jointly with our friends from St John's Methodist Church in Shavington alternating between the two churches.
Our sister church at All Saints, Weston holds similar services and activities and you will be equally welcome there. Please see the ALL SAINTS LINK on the right for information about their events
Our Mission
Our purpose is to share the love of Jesus with all,
leading them to faith and maturity in Christ and into living out that faith
Our vision is that
As a church community we pray that we will
Worship God wholeheartedly
As we meet together and in daily prayer
Live the Bible
As we allow God to change us
Love one another
As we serve and care
Share the faith
With our children, our friends and our community
Give generously
Of what we have and who we are
Our Parish Prayer
Heavenly Father we pray for all the people of this parish,
the schools and the young people, and those who work with and care for them.
We pray for the elderly,
and those who care for the sick and disabled.
Make this a caring parish,
welcoming to newcomers,
and sharing the love of Jesus with all.
