Beginning with the Easter Fire outside church, in the darkness we kindle a new light as we recall Jesus' resurrection. Entering church in darkness we each take a candle to lighten the darkness and keep a short vigil. Then the church is lit and the first communion of Easter is celebrated with joy.

Holy Trinity Chapel at Capesthorne

Welcome to the chapel of the Holy Trinity, Capesthorne, in the parish of Siddington with Capesthorne, Cheshire. 

The chapel is adjacent to Capesthorne Hall, near the village of Siddington. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. It falls within the diocese of Chester, the archdeaconry of Macclesfield and the deanery of Macclesfield and is one of the Rural Daneside group (benefice) of churches.

Under normal circumstances, there are public services held in the chapel three times a year: Ascension Day, harvest festival and our carol service. To see information about services at Siddington Church, please click here
