We treat the first in Sunday in May as Rogation Sunday, and hold our Family Service in a local farmyard. We sit on straw bales, looking over to Brill Hill in the distance, and watched by some of the Limousin cattle. After the service we walk across a couple of fields to the strip of woodland that marks the parish boundary, say a prayer, and ceremonially beat the bounds with branches.
