A relaxed and family friendly service for parents with young children. Based on Godly Play, the service begins with a song in the chancel before one of the children leads us through to our 'special place' for a story (told using wooden figures and simple scenery). The story is followed by a short time for prayer and then 'the feast' which comprises a biscuit and drink for the children. We then go back to the chancel for two more songs (usually noisy with instruments), after which the children have themed craft in our newly restored meeting area. This will shortly have a chair lift; a portable ramp is also available for wheelchair users. Adults have tea, coffee and biscuits while their children engage in craft activities craft, although we encourage them to get stuck in as well.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic we had to suspend this service. However, every two weeks we record a service and upload it onto YouTube under the heading 'United benefice Storytelling Service'. Details can be found on our parish website rosthernewithbollington.co.uk.

There may be minor changes to timings when there are festivals such as Remembrance Sunday.
