Our Meditation sessions are continuing throughout January. Lectio Divina on Monday afternoons involves a group of people reading the same Bible passage three times with a period of silence following each reading, briefly sharing what the passage has made us think about and then praying together.

St Philip and St James

St Philip and St James is a lively, welcoming and friendly church.  We are confident about worshipping in traditional ways but also enjoy exploring new ways to worship.  We are a member of the Inclusive Church network and offer prayers of love and faith to same sex couples.  We are also an eco church.

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Chester's safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety someone, please contact the police and your local authority's children or adult social care services.
