Central to worship in our church is the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, also called the Holy Communion, or the Lord's Supper. In this offering of prayer and praise, the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are remembered and celebrated.

1st December 1857, was the day that Christ Church was consecrated. 1st December 2024 happens to be a Sunday! It is our All Age Service that morning and we are going to weave the 167-year celebration into it. We probably will not have 350 people in church as they did on the day of the consecration, but you are all welcome to come and share this thanksgiving service with us. The Christmas Fair will be held at the Swettenham Club on December 1st from 12 noon to 2pm, in aid of St Peter's Church, Swettenham.
With hot turkey baps and homemade soup, and the bar will be open. Stalls will include a tombola, RSPB, WI and bric a brac. Father Christmas will be there! Free entry.
We hope you can join us - bring friends and family.

This is a service of prayers, thanksgiving and hymn-singing. It will sometimes be led by members of the congregation.

You are welcome to come and join us for coffee and company on the second Wednesday of each month in the Parish Hall.
There will be hot drinks, cakes, biscuits and chat in warm surroundings.

Come and join us for a fun, outdoor telling of the Christmas story. Gather from 4pm for a 4:40pm start.
We will have a few readings and scenes in a number of locations around the church and in the barn along with singing carols as well.
It will be cold, so wrap up. Wellies are optional but the ground is usually damp underfoot.
We also have mulled wine and mince pies afterwards as well.

Our carol service is a warming and moving service with traditional and popular carols and hymns that tell the story of Christmas. It is a glorious and joyful way for us to celebrate the birth of Christ.
We hope to welcome as many people as possible, including the congregation of St Michael's Church, Hulme Walfield.

A congregation-led service with familiar carols, where children will be encouraged to help tell the Christmas story.

This late-night service starts on Christmas Eve and ends just after midnight, so you’re among the first to celebrate Christmas! ‘Mass’ is simply another name of ‘Holy Communion’ or ‘Eucharist’ or ‘Lord’s Supper’ and it is when the congregation shares bread and ‘wine’.
This will be a joyous service for all the Rural Daneside Churches and it will be held at Marton Church. Everyone is very welcome to join us.

We come together this evening to remember those who have given their lives in the service of our country, in a service of prayers, readings and hymns. It will be a joint service with St Michael's Church, Hulme Walfield.
There will be a light supper offered after the service, in the Parish Hall.

At this morning's service, you are invited to come and remember those of your loved ones who have died. Everyone will be invited to light a candle in remembrance.
