Eaton Parish Council, in conjunction with the church, has arranged a small programme of events to commemorate VE Day 80 (80 years since VE Day). All of the events below will take place on Thursday 8th May.
9am - the VE Day flag will be raised on the village flag pole.

6:30pm - the church bell will be rung. This will join other cathedral and church bells around the nation, which will ring out as we mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day, and give thanks for those who offered their services, and many lives, that we may know peace.

9:30pm - a lamp light of peace will be lit on the village green. This will 'shine a light' for those who served their country, both people and animals.
