There are many Bible verses that show us that God is with us, he is our constant. One Bible verse that I may hold on to over the coming months is Hebrews 6:19a. “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” With our faith comes a whole lot of hope. It is in all the uncertainty that we should look to God and hold onto him as he is our anchor. He is our support. You may be feeling that we are starting to enter a period of uncertainty, as we await a new Vicar. Or even thinking what are the next steps before a new vicar is selected. We hope that this letter to you all will put you at ease, answer some of your questions and to reassure you that though some things may change a little, nothing is really changing. We are still aiming to move forward with our Vision and relook at this over the months. So, we come to the Frequently Asked Questions and general points we wish to make: The Ministry Team & Wardens will be meeting regularly. How Long will we be in Vacancy? How long is a piece of string. Due to us not being able to pay our full parish share at this moment, we are waiting for clarification from the Diocese. It is the Bishops decision as to whether we will have a Priest in Charge or a Rector, if we will have a full time or part time incumbent. At this moment in time, Churches are usually in Vacancy between 1 – 2 years. How about services? Sunday and Thursday Services will be covered, and so far Caroline has done rotas for the next 3 months and Christmas 2024 and Easter 25 have already been covered. We will be using a few Visiting clergy, some retired and also Clergy and readers from ChristChurch Moreton and also from Church House. If you hear of someone who is ill or in hospital, please pass on the details to Richard, Louise or Caroline. Unfortunately, often we do not know that the person is in hospital until they have come out. Please do let one of us know… we may not have been told. Sadly we are not mind readers. Also please do contact your designated Pastoral person. Who do I contact in a emergency, if someone is seriously ill or needs prayer for the dying? Please contact Richard, Louise or Caroline If you have any complaints, anything to bring to our attention, any issues please do contact the Church Wardens: Ann H or Jimmy. There are a few things to highlight, As well as Experience Christmas and Experience Easter, we will also in the Summer Term inviting Year 2 in for Experience Church. This is new to us, but it will help with the school’s curriculum for religious education. So we are looking forward to this. We will try our best With Blessings Yours in Christ Caroline
