Our Building
Designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott with the foundation stone being laid on 16 February 1854. Consecrated on 10 July 1856.
A Grade 2 listed building of significant size with many beautiful and interesting features. The church was designed to seat a congregation of 947. The pews, of pitch pine, are those in use today although reduced in number, in the 1980s, to create space for a large narthex, kitchen and toilets.
