About Us

The Parish of St James with Emmanuel is a Parish made up of two Anglican churches that serve New Brighton. Our churches are united in prayer, worship, community care and outreach. Together, we desire to see people come to faith in God the Father who loves us, through his Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ and welcome new people to both our churches. We also try to reflect God's love and values in service to our community. 

We have a relatively new church building which contains features from the old church.  It has a hall attached to it, which is well-used by uniformed organisations and community groups and available for hire.  We are a friendly congregation using both traditional and contemporary hymns which are shown on the screen. 

Family worship takes place at our church parade, on the 4th Sunday of the month where the Emmanuel band plays for us.  We have a Sunday School which takes place at the other services. We support Children receiving Holy Communion within Chester Diocesan Guidelines.
