Saint Thomas the Apostle, Liscard, Wallasey, Merseyside
Parish Priest: Fr. Robert T. Nelson.
St Thomas' is a small friendly church with a traditional Catholic ethos. We are in the Diocese of Chester and under the extended episcopal care of the Bishop of Beverley. Resolutions A, B and C are in place.
Our services mainly use Common Worship (though some use the Book of Common Prayer). The atmosphere is fairly informal, with children taking an active part. We have the Blessed Sacrament perpetually reserved, use vestments, and incense on major days in the calendar. There is a Parish Eucharist at 10.00am every Sunday (more family-orientated on the third Sunday), a said Eucharist every Wednesday (at 12.30pm) and Evensong followed by Benediction every first Sunday. There is a ministry of healing at the Eucharist approximately quarterly.
We have an enjoyable and active social life in which all are welcome to join. Church, for us, is about the whole of life, and we have a ministry of caring and praying for all who ask for or need it.
