St Mary's serves the parish of Whitegate named (we think) after the entrance to the ancient Abbey of Vale Royal. We are a united benefice with St Peter's, Little Budworth, and there are services at both churches most Sunday mornings. When there is a fifth Sunday we join together for a benefice service which alternates between the two churches.
Our main Sunday service at St Mary's is at 9.30am. There is always something suitable for young children (a separate short Storytelling Service, A family service or Sunday School). We also have occasional evening services. See the calendar for details of what is happening. Our website https://www.stmaryswhitegate.org/ has more information.
Whitegate is a rural parish with many of our members joining us from the nearby towns of Northwich and Winsford. For baptism or wedding enquiries please contact the Vicar. There is a baptism preparation series which runs over three months including the Family Services within the timescale of the series.
The parish of Whitegate: St Mary is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Chester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
