St Mary & All Saints

The church is open every day of the year, and from comments in our visitor books we know how important this is, together with the peace and tranquillity of this ancient but living building in the heart of the parish. And it is precisely this openness that is at the heart of our faith as Christians, and which should be reflected in our buildings, our worship and our welcome of all who come through the door or via the Internet.

Great Budworth is a large rural parish, made up of a number of distinct communities, and the church tries to reach out to all within our parish. Physically the church dominates the village of Great Budworth itself, and many visitors are drawn by its imposing architecture and impressive history, but it is our hope and prayer that all who visit our church, regardless of their initial purpose, may find something of God’s love and peace within its walls.

May God’s blessing be always with you.

The Reverend Alec Brown

The parish of Great Budworth: St Mary & All Saints is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Chester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
