About Us
The present Bethesda Church stands in the centre of Palacefields, close to the shops and the now closed Tricorn pub, an ideal place from which to minister to the community. In this way it continues the involvement of the “old Bethesda” in the centre of the community in the Old Town. That building was demolished to make way for the bus station, but in 1976 the new multi-purpose Bethesda was consecrated, providing a base for worship and community groups that continues today.
With its focus on its mission to the people around it in all aspects of their need, the congregation is open-hearted and welcoming to all who enter the doors.
As is the case with all churches in Hallwood parish, Bethesda is ecumenical - Church of England, Methodist and United Reformed.
