What is Pastoral Care? A healthy Christian community is one in which people know that they are loved, visitors are welcome and young and old alike are valued and feel safe. The Pastoral Care that we offer, both at times of crisis and in everyday life, is an active proclamation of God's love for all the world.
What we are trying to achieve? A supportive, loving church family where we actively support each other. Throughout the Bible, Christians are encouraged to care for one another, particularly other Christians. This is the responsibility of all believers, but God calls some to go a little further in this service of helping others.
Who is Pastoral Care for? Anyone who has a connection with St Luke’s church who is in need.
Who can be a Pastoral Carer? Anyone within St Luke’s who feel that they can offer short term support.
Will there be training? Yes. The Pastoral Care Leadership team will provide the appropriate support and training for you.
