Our weekly Sunday Service takes place at St James Church Building on the junction between Laird Street and Hoylake Road. There is a small public car park at the end of Sumner Road. The Church building is easily accessible for all: there are no steps on the way in and we have plenty of space inside. Services currently last for around an hour and are followed by refreshments. Do join us at St James at our regular time of 10.30am tomorrow morning (Sunday 22nd Dec) where our Service of Holy Communion will include traditional and popular carols as we celebrate the start of Christmas week in the heart of the North End. A quieter Service of Holy Communion in the lovely chapel at St Bede’s in Claughton Village, starting at 9.30am on Christmas Eve Tuesday 24th December. Please use the side entrance in Scotts Place for this Service. Thank you.

Our family service for Christmas Eve will take place as usual at 4pm on Tuesday 24th December at St James Church. Lasting about 40 minutes, we’ll tell the Christmas Story and share Christingles - a wonderful symbol of God’s goodness to us. The perfect way for the family to spend Christmas Eve together.

We celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas morning with a Family Communion Service lasting around 45 minutes. Everyone welcome: a peaceful way to spend Christmas morning.

On the first Sunday each month our regular Morning Service at St James Parish Church offers worship that is more interactive, thinking especially of families and children (of all ages) who like to get up and get involved. Everyone is welcome to join us as we meet with Jesus in fresh ways.
